Expedia Product Manager Interview Experience - 2021

Expedia Group is an online American travel, shopping company for consumers and small business travels.

I applied for Product Manager role sometimes before through their career portal and I was quite sure that my resume will not be shortlisted. But surprisingly I had got a mail on 30th Dec, 2020 from their career team that they were impressed by my backgrounds and would like to invite me for a digital interview as a next process. They had given me 5 days transition time, I was allowed to give my interview on any day between these 5 days.

Position Details:

Role: Product Manager

Location: Gurgaon, India

CTC: INR 12.83 LPA (Base Salary 11 LPA)

Additional Compensation: Medical coverage, travel discounts etc.

Before taking the interview they had suggested me to go through the role details and the company official site once.

Interview Details:

Platform: HireVue

Duration: 30 - 45 mins

The interview was consist of 12 questions and all of these were role specific. The questions were divided into MCQ based questions, writing based questions and video based questions. For MCQ based questions I had to choose one or more correct options from all the options given there. The writing based questions could be an essay or email writing. For me it was an email writing. For video based questions, you will have enough time to read the question, after reading the question the platform will provide 1 to 1:30 mins time to prepare and after that it will start to record your video. For each video based question you will have 2 attempts and your final attempt will be considered to evaluate.

For me the interview was start with basic introduction and after that there were some role specific questions.
